Assignment Description

For a client within the defense industry, we are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager (SQM)

What You Will Work On

• Quality assure purchased components, materials, and subsystems within assigned categories
• Ensure implementation of purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures
• Define and manage quality requirements within RFQs, contracts, and purchase orders
• Participate in and create procurement preparations and supplier quality activities
• Perform supplier and product audits onsite at supplier locations
• Monitor supplier quality performance and drive corrective actions when targets are not met
• Lead supplier improvement programs and quality initiatives
• Handle supplier complaints and review supplier corrective action responses
• Collaborate closely with internal quality organizations and external suppliers
• Analyze quality data and drive continuous improvement activities
• Support quality assurance activities related to externally manufactured products

What You Bring

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of quality methodologies and quality assurance processes
• Experience working with supplier quality and procurement quality activities
• Good understanding of quality tools such as:
• Root Cause Analysis
• Capability Analysis
• Risk Analysis
• FMEA
• 8D
• Measurement System Analysis
• Strong analytical and structured working approach
• Ability to collaborate effectively both internally and externally
• Experience solving complex quality and supplier-related issues
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
