Global Category Manager Construction & Facility
Husqvarna AB

We’re one of the world’s oldest start-ups — and we’re just getting started.

At Husqvarna Group, innovation is in our DNA.
With over 330 years of heritage and a passion for pioneering technology, we design and deliver world class products and solutions for forest, park, garden and construction care.
From robotic lawn mowers to cutting-edge chainsaws and sustainable battery systems, we’re shaping the future — and we want you to be part of it.

As Global Category Manager - Construction & Facility, you will have a strategic, global responsibility for indirect procurement within construction and facility-related services.
The role focuses on setting category strategies, establishing framework agreements, and driving value creation through close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
In this role you will report to Karin Johansson, Senior Director Indirect Sourcing & Logistics.

About the role:

In the role as Global Category Manager – Construction & Facility, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the global sourcing strategy for construction and facility-related categories across Husqvarna Group.
While the role carries global category ownership, Sweden serves as the natural anchor site within that global remit.
Our largest and most complex production and office facility is in Huskvarna, and the scale and frequency of investment activity there make it a centre of gravity for the role - without limiting the broader global scope.
Your work at this site will be highly visible, business critical, and closely connected to long-term investment plans.

Your mission is to improve procurement efficiency and processes and ensure high quality and compliance standards across all construction and facility-related sourcing activities.
You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders such as Facility, Engineering, Operations and local site management to gain deep insight into business needs, align procurement strategies with investment and operational objectives, and enable successful project execution.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you combine strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and the ability to execute in a global, matrix organization.

You thrive in environments where things are still being built - where you can bring structure to ambiguity, establish ways of working and leave a visible footprint in your results.
You are equally comfortable presenting to senior leadership and getting into the details of contract negotiation.
Most importantly, you know how to bring people along with you.
You communicate clearly and confidently at all levels of the organization where you build trust, influence decision-making and drive alignment across diverse teams.

Your skills and background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business or a related field (a master’s degree or equivalent experience is considered an advantage)
  • At least 7 years of experience in strategic procurement or category management, with substantial exposure to Construction and Facilities sourcing
  • Proven experience managing complex construction-related sourcing initiatives and negotiating contracts on a global or multi-site scale
  • Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies and lead major sourcing and cost‑out initiatives
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate data into insights, business cases and strategic decisions
  • Experience working cross-functionally in an international environment
  • Solid knowledge of and hands-on experience with Swedish standard construction agreements ABT 06 and AB 04 (required) ´
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, is required.
    Swedish is considered an advantage

This position will be based in Huskvarna, Sweden.
We believe the best ideas happen when we're connected.
