ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly technical IT Support person to join us at HQ.
Placed in our Platform and Infrastructure team, the main purpose of this position is to help and assist Nordic Choice HQ-users, hotels in the Oslo area and projects with IT-related support and activities.
The role will be tasked with solving both practical and more complex technical issues and will also collaborate with team members across all departments to assist them with their technical requirements and activities which means that in this role your knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware and end-user applications is must as you will be Responsible for driving and solving complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
As you will be helping a lot of people in this role you need to be service minded as well as a team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems and activities.
A strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills will help make your days easier.
As we are a fast phased organization you’ll probably also need the ability to time manage and effectively prioritize numerous activities/projects and at the same time have analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.

YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS

  • Install and configure software and computer systems
  • Printer management and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software and/or hardware
  • Walk HQ-colleagues through steps to help them resolve their technical problems
  • Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization
  • Support the implementation of new solutions and/or applications
  • Assist with password or login problems
  • Test, evaluate, and support in decisions about new technology for the business
  • Support and participate in IT HQ- and hotel projects
  • Assist with ordering IT-equipment for end-users and HQ-projects
  • Use support system to document and resolve tickets

WE WOULD REALLY LIKE YOU TO HAVE:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical support role
  • Certifications are preferred, but not required
  • Technical expertise in the following areas:
    • Client operating systems (Windows, OS X, iOS, Android, Chrome OS etc)
    • End-user applications (MS-Office and Google WorkSpace)
    • Network (WAN, LAN, WiFi)
    • Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
    • AV-equipment.
    • Live and have work permit in Norway
    • Fluent and comfortable with working in both Norwegian and English
