Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Skellefteå, Sweden

Job Description

Based on site in Skellefteå, Sweden the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project engineering associated with the mechanical subcontract package including design development and engineering, value engineering, field support, engineering quality control, technical reviews and procurement, testing, commissioning & startup, for a large value production facilitate, reporting to the Project Manager – Mechanical.
The successful candidate will be required to manage the mechanical engineering team and interface with in-house commissioning & quality teams and the in-house electrical team to ensure system design requirements are coordinated and delivered.
The mechanical engineer will be required to review all equipment technical submittals and ensure these meet the requirements of the design.

Skills and Requirements

· Mechanical Degree qualified

· Hold excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems and products

· Excellent communication and reporting skills

· Minimum 8 years experience in mechanical roles with at least 3years in a lead role

· Understanding of project planning, construction sequencing and critical path

· Previous experience working in Sweden an advantage but not essential

· Have a sound understanding of mechanical and HVAC system commissioning & startup

· Knowledge in BMS systems an advantage

· Knowledge of clean & dry rooms required
