The Opportunity

The Risk Officer is a critical role within the second line of defense for the Merchant Services (MS) Division within Worldline.
In this role you will be a part of the team leading the charge in strengthening our company's internal controls and risk management processes.
If you're someone with an eye for details, a liking for risk management, and a keen interest in ICT and operational risks and controls, we'd love to hear from you.

Reporting directly to the business line’s Head of Internal Control, and also supporting your local entity’s management team and senior specialists, you'll play an integral role in driving the effective operation of our operating environment.
You will be supported by the global entity risk officer network and will also participate in global risk initiatives to ensure that risk management industry best practices are rolled-out across the Merchant Services Division.

You will be part of a team with many experienced and dedicated risk officers spread across the world that would love for you to work with them! We are committed to continuous improvement and are always looking for new talents to join our group of trusted risk advisors to the business.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a sound risk management culture through awareness and stakeholder engagement within Sweden.
  • Collaborate with the local management team and senior specialists to design an effective control environment.
  • Ensure that the Risk Management process are executed and that all risks are captured with effective mitigation.
  • Recommend and oversee adjustments to control and risk policies and processes both locally and our business globally.
  • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of measures, suggesting actionable improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements where it relates to Risk Management.
  • Advocate for a robust risk & compliance culture, ensuring inter-departmental collaborations.

  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to risk management
  • Multicultural and flexible mindset with the ability to multi-task and work in an international environment.

Who Are We Looking For

  • 3+ years within a 2nd line Risk Management and/or Control Function role.
  • Excellent knowledge and awareness related to enterprise and operational risk management industry best practices and frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
  • Experience in or with strongly regulated institutions and industries.
  • Self-driven ethics and initiative in assignments and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to present and influence decision making with executive audiences.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations.

Not a must but would be great if you have some of the following skills, too:

  • Industry experience in payment and/or banking
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent)
  • Industry Risk Management Certifications (CRMA, CRISC, CISA etc.)
  • Risk Management / GRC tool experience
  • Experience with analytics and automation tooling (Power BI, Power Apps)
  • A constructive, positive, and dynamic attitude, exemplified through proactive problem-solving and enthusiastic collaboration, is beneficial to the role.
