Designation: Rollout & Operate Team - z/OS System Programmer - LPAR Coordinator, Technical Lead

Job Summary: Join our global Rollout & Operate team to support customers in automotive industry in Gothenburg and others.
As a z/OS System Programmer, you´ll handle various runtime and one-time tasks, including software upgrades, configuration changes, automation, installation, customization, integration testing, maintenance, and coordination of activities on z/OS systems and LPARs.
This role involves on-call duty approximately every 3rd-4th week.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Planning software upgrades and configuration changes
• Training system operators and application programmers
• Automating operations
• Running installation jobs and scripts
• Performing installation-specific customization tasks
• Integration testing new products with existing applications and user procedures
• Coordinating activities on z/OS systems and LPARs
• Conducting D/R tests
• Investigating performance problems
• Full management of sandboxes
• Handling ITSM and ITIL processes (incident, change, request handling)

Job Requirements: General Qualifications:
• Fluency in oral and written English
• Proactive, responsible, and methodical
• Proficiency in Mainframe systems programming and debugging
• Automation mindset
• Business orientation and relationship-building skills
• Good communication and team spirit
• Ability to work remotely under structured objectives
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Mainframe systems software installation and configuration

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor´s degree in technology, engineering, IT, or related fields, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years´ experience with Mainframe systems

Skills and Competencies: Technical Qualifications:
• Proficiency in REXX, Assembler, JCL programming
• Knowledge of z/OS systems, routines, and products
• Installation, maintenance, and monitoring of z/OS systems for performance enhancements
• Problem analysis and resolution
• Ability to interpret technical and business information
• Fault isolation and corrective action
• Experience with JES2, SMP/E, SDSF, WLM, RMF, Performance Management, Sysview, System Automation or OPS/MVS
• Participation in transition projects for new customers
